Always Keep Your Taxi Light On

What is this about, you ask? Well, I shall tell you. This is something my therapist says to me all the time when I complain about dating. As many of us women know, dating is hard now-a-days! With Tinder, OK Cupid, Hinge, Bumble, the list is endless.

Then you find one guy who you think is nice, sort of sexy, makes your heart beat a little faster, makes your stomach all fluttery and you think, yeah, this is the guy I’m going to be cuffed to for the winter. Yet, he can’t even ask you on a date, and you wonder why not? What’s wrong with you that he can’t even step up? Did I text him back too fast? Should I have used a different emoji? Should I have used “ha ha” instead of “lol?”

This is when the phrase, “Always Keep Your Taxi Light On” comes into play. There’s no need to get all bogged down with one dude. Nope, you’re looking for the right guy. That means even as you look for the next guy, your taxi light is on saying to all the men, hey, I’m not tied down, my taxi light is still on so I’m still looking. I might be talking to a bunch of guys online, or even in person, but I’m not turning off that taxi light until I find the right guy.
