Barbie is definitely taking over the world – if you didn’t know this, have you been living under a rock? The movie’s release date is July 21st, 2023 in the United States and after seeing the trailers I think it looks like such a fun movie. I have to admit, when I first heard about it I was pretty skeptical, but it looks awesome. Since we keep seeing Margot Robbie rocking all these picture perfect ensembles, I decided to take a look and see if I could find some Barbie inspired pieces for us normal peeps.
First up are the collabs. The ones I think are the coolest are the ones from Bloomingdales and Unique Vintage. I believe Unique Vintage has had an on-going collab with Barbie for a number of years now, but they’re the ones that are going to get you closest to the actual Barbie outfits, sorta like how Margot Robbie did it. The Bloomies collab is more of ‘inspired by’ Barbie and the movie it seems.

Bloomingdale’s Barbie The Movie x Aqua
1. Checked Bustier Mini Dress | 2. Embellished Graphic Tee
Unique Vintage – Barbie x Unique Vintage
3. Barbie™ x Unique Vintage Pinktastic Stripe Barbie™ Rockaway Top | 4. Barbie™ x Unique Vintage Black Solo In The Spotlight Strapless Wiggle Dress – This is a preorder! But you can totally look like Barbie; this dress is the Solo in the Spotlight Barbie.
Now, on to the picks that aren’t part of any ‘real’ collaboration, it’s more of what I think Barbie might wear nowadays. We’ve got some outfits, a clutch because you always had to shove it into her hand and hope it stayed, and some shoes – I thought Barbie might like some pink hightops for when she goes out to run errands or just have fun.

1. Bellelily – Come On Let’s Go Party Drawstring Romper – Pink | 2. Amazon – Dasein Women Faux Suede Evening Clutch Bags | 3. Nordstrom – River Island – Faux Pearl Crop Bouclé Blazer | 4. Kohls – DRAPER JAMES RSVP™ Tammy Dress Sandals | 5. Amazon – Elisabet Tang Women Pumps, Pointed Toe High Heel 4.7 inch/12cm Party Stiletto Heels Shoes Matte | 6. Nordstrom – Open Edit – Oversize Blazer | 7. Nike – Nike Dunk High 1985 | 8. Nordstrom – Chanel – ROUGE COCO GLOSS | 9. Gap Factory – Ribbed Tank Midi Dress | 10. Tuckernuck – Pink Amie Mini Dress
We’ve got items in there for the casual gal, the cute ‘I’m going to the farmer’s market’ gal, and the sultry ‘I wear 4.7 inch stiletto heels’ gal. I’m gonna be the first to say that since the pandemic I have yet to shove my feet into heels like these but, they sure look cool. If you haven’t seen the cool shoe scene, you’re welcome…
Also side note – did you all know that Kohl’s now sells Draper James stuff? This is big news to me! I guess they have a line there, that’s where I found these cute sandals!
Let me know what you think! Are you going to be standing in line on July 21st in the United States for this movie? I’m pretty darn interested to see it, but I think I’ll probably end up waiting till it comes out on digital!
