Blizzard 2016

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know that the east coast had a blizzard last weekend.  Therefore, there’s no update on where I went to for fun over the weekend… instead, I filmed a video of the snow for everyone.

By the time Sunday rolled around, I was tired of staying inside so I had to get out.  That was an interesting tiny adventure.  The people in my neighborhood did a great job at shoveling the sidewalks.  As you’ll be able to see from the video, the sidewalks were very clear.  I wish the same could be said for the city.

I went out around 3 pm for my short walkabout.  And there were about two main roads that were plowed.  The side roads were still a mess.  I’m not sure you’ll be able to see, but in one shot, a group of people were helping a car trying to drive down my street.  They had to resort to five people pushing the car, which didn’t work.  Then everyone grabbed their shovels and started shoveling the car out of the rut it had just made.

One thing that was warmed my little heart was seeing how people were pitching in and helping each other.  It made me wish I had a shovel to join in.  Of course, then I realized I probably wouldn’t be much help, so I went to the grocery store for more sparkling water.

Here’s the video!  I hope you all enjoy.  It’s my first attempt at one on my GoPro camera.
