I call them designer inspired sandals, but others call them dupes. I like my phrasing better because I’m not sure these other companies deliberately set out to copy big designers, but it just happens. As Mark Twain said: “There is no such thing as a new idea. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope.” All that to say, I’ve found sandals inspired by Bottega Veneta, Hermes, Chloé, and Loeffler Randall that will keep your pedicure looking fab all summer long.

Bottega Veneta Splurge and Steal

Designer inspired - Bottega

These are definitely designer inspired because they’re not all all identical. It’s more of the atmosphere of the splurgy Bottega Veneta Lido sandals that we have here in the amazon version. In fact, these would be good for going out (if you’re still doing that) because they’re a little sexier than the designer splurge version. I also like that the color is brighter. Of course, if you’ve got the moola, go for the real ones! They look comfier.

Hermes Oran Splurge or Steal

Designer Inspired Hermes Oran sandals

These are a staple in every preppy gal’s wardrobe but some of us can’t afford the price tag on the Hermes Oran sandals. Thank goodness there are a number of sandals that are very close to the original. I’ve included just two of the many designer inspired sandals, but there are even more if you want to look for them. The ones on the left are from Amazon and the ones on the right are Steve Madden, so you know they’re both affordable versions. In fact, I had a pair last year that I really liked from amazon, but they stretched out pretty quickly.

Designer Inspired Chloé Splurge and Steal

These Chloé Woody logo print canvas slides are in every Instagram IT girl’s shoe wardrobe, but have you checked out the price on these babies? Wow, I don’t have that kind of cash hanging around, so I’m more apt to get the steal “Love” version. Act fast, though, they’re almost all sold out! I also like the idea of not wearing a brand’s logo and just putting out love into the world.

Loeffler Randall Splurge or Steal

Designer Inspired Loeffler Randall sandals

I had to search high and low to find a shoe that is a Loeffler Randall inspired one, but finally found this one. It’s another act fast because sizes are selling out like hotcakes! One fun thing about the steal version is that it’s not as girly as the original pair, which is a nice change for some people. I also like how they’ve done away with the bow ends sticking out. That can look somewhat messy. The heel block is fairly similar, which is nice because a block heel is great to wear when you’re going to be standing up a lot. These would be great to wear to a summer wedding.

Chanel Designer Inspired Sandals

Designer Inspired Chanel Espadrilles

The Chanel espadrille. The ultimate summer shoe for most of us. But not all of us have the money to splurge on it, so how to get a similar look for less? Well, these are pretty similar because they all have the cap-toe, and espadrille sole. The white espadrilles are a very clean look for summer at a much better price. The pink ones are even closer to the Chanel ones, but a deeper pink, which I do not mind in the least! Any of these would be adorable with summer dresses, or jean shorts.

Any of these sandals are fantastic for this summer. Hopefully we will all be getting out and about more this year so here’s to wearing fun summer sandals!
