Fall will be here in 15 days! I cannot wait. Bring on the sweater and coat weather and let’s get rid of the humidity. This season is when I really shine. You don’t need a puffer coat just a lightweight one. It’s my favorite season.

Fall Trench Coat

When I think of fall, I think of apple picking, leaves falling off the trees, Halloween, and a slight chill in the air. These 10 coats I’ve picked will help keep that chill off and have you look pretty darn cool at the same time.

1. JCrew – Juliette collarless sweater-blazer | 2. Asos – Curve check duffle coat | 3. Loft – Belted Trench Coat | 4. Athleta – Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket | 5. Nordstrom – BB Dakota – Revolution Drapey Boucle Trench Coat | 6. JCrew – Cocoon coat in Italian stadium-cloth wool | 7. Nordstrom – Vince Camuto Lightweight Long Coat | 8. Unique Vintage – Barbie x Unique Vintage 1960s Style Red Flare Swing Coat | 9. Lucky Brand – Oversized Boyfriend Trucker | 10. H&M – Faux Fur Jacket

Number 1

Anyone see that Meghan Markle went to the US Open to see Serena play? This is the sweater/coat she wore, only in gray. I didn’t see that color available, but I like the ivory better. It’s very classy and looks great with jeans.

Fall checked coat

Number 2

This one keeps in line with the houndstooth trend, even though this is a little more like checks. The length is great, it looks roomy and killer with jeans. I could see myself wearing it all fall long.

Number 3

This has such a cool, downtown chic vibe. I love that you can wear it belted or open. The color is a cool departure from the a normal khaki colored trench.

Fall Sherpa

Number 4

This is perfect for when you’re not sure if it’s going to be cold out or not. You can toss this fuzzy, almost sweatshirt like coat over anything and feel cool and comfy. I like the tie neck and the length. I have a great coat from Athleta that I love that has lasted many seasons, so this has staying power. It’s also a classic shape, so if you want to wear it past Fall 2019, you’ll still be cool.

Number 5

I love a good drapey jacket. This one has the right amount of drape from the long collar, to the length, and even the sleeves. This has off-duty model written all over it. I could see this being dressed down with jeans, or dressed up with a slinky slip dress.

Number 6

Isn’t this pink coat too cute? It has a definite Jackie-O and Hitchcock leading ladies vibe. Even though it’s wool, it might be too cold to wear for the winter months, but for fall, it’s perfect.

Fall Coat

Number 7

This color is so pretty. It’s another one that feels like a nod to the 1960’s and the Hitchcock blondes. This would be cool with a black skirt, black slacks, or black jeans. If you’re so inclined to wear white after Labor Day (which is totally cool), that would look classy.

Number 8

This is my favorite coat of all 10. I have always been a huge fan of the 1960s fashion and this is a great example of this. I love the color (it’s my favorite), the sleeves are great for fall since they’re not full long sleeves, and the cut is fantastic. The bow detail is adorable, and I might even get some white gloves just to be all vintagey!

Number 9

A jean jacket is the quintessential fall jacket. This one is a decent price, and a classic look. I like how the color is faded so it makes it look like you’ve had it for years. This is a staple for your closet.

Number 10

I couldn’t help but add this one on. The two button front is classic and somewhat menswear inspired. I’ve been thinking of diving into more menswear looks for fall, and this might be the piece I need to kick my outfits up. The neck might be a bit open for some, but that’s just another excuse for more shopping – for a scarf, of course! I think once you see it’s dirty, it’ll be time for winter to begin. Just put off the laundry, right?

I always get obsessed with finding a cool new fall coat and these are some great examples of cool ones. I’d love to hear which ones are your favorites. Leave me a comment. I always find it so interesting to hear which ones you guys like the best.
