Layers are as fall as Pumpkin Spice Lattes, or pumpkins, or “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” playing on TV. Long time readers of the blog know that I tend to run hotter than most so layers are ideal for me since I don’t know what the temperature will be like inside or even what it will be like when I leave work.
For those of you who are like my sister and mom, and tend to always be cold, layers are perfect for you as well. You can keep them on or even add to them to warm yourself up. It’s really the best solution for everyone.
JBrand Jeans | BP Sweater | Striped shirt (similar) | OTK Boots
The BP Sweater I’m wearing is very soft, boxy and the perfect length for us smaller torso’d women. In the pictures above, you can see how it hits me right where the waistband of my jeans lies. I like that length – it’s not too long, the boxiness of it allows me to put a shirt underneath, and it doesn’t bunch up. I hate nothing more than when you put a shirt under a sweater and not only can you not move, but it somehow moves the sweater so the seam is in the wrong place.
For the shirt under – any long sleeved shirt will do. I chose this one because I was in a stripey mood today. I almost chose the long sleeved one from the post “Tops For Fall To Adore.” I even threw a tank top under the long sleeve shirt which was a good idea. It warmed up today in the sunshine. See, that’s how layers are incredibly helpful.
What do you all think? Are you a layering person? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Or see your layering pics!
Where are your sunglasses from? The post doesn’t say!
This was a really helpful post. The pictures are really good and you look cool!
