White House Black Market – A store I’ve never really given any thought to until last weekend when my sister and I traipsed into their store on Michigan Ave. Let me tell you… I was blown away by their offerings. This isn’t a sponsored post at all, I just want to open everyone’s eyes to a store I’ve not shopped in before.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I used to think the store mainly carried clothes in white or black. I know, I know, taking the name way too literally. Grin. Right now they have exactly what I’ve been looking for in colors. I’m tired of the dreary weather we’ve had and the dark colors I’ve worn so walking into the store was like stepping into a spring wonderland.
Pastels everywhere! Make no mistake; these are pretty pastels that you want to wear because they remind you of macarons from Ladurée, but wearable. Who doesn’t want that? Most of their clothing is work appropriate for creative and professional offices. As you can see from the pictures that follow, my sister got some fine pieces for her work wardrobe and she works in a law firm.
The blazer is a mint green that pairs so well with the black and white polkadot tank. The tank/cami itself is cute, but the pièce de résistance is that it’s reversible! The other side can be seen in the pics above – it’s striped. Two tanks for the price of one? Get out!
While in the fitting room, we needed a heel so we could see what our pants looked like. The nicest salesperson brought us these nude kitten heels on a whim. On first glance they look like the Dior Limited Edition J’adior Slingbacks. We bought them because they’re so comfy for a heel and kitten heels are back in style.
The white skirt would go well with the blazer and tank as well. We have it styled with a mint shirt that we already own. This combo screams spring to me and pairing it with the pastel top and clutch brings it out even more.
Are any of you avid White House | Black Market shoppers? What do you think of their spring line? I’m going to keep their website on my rotation of must-looks. Let me know what you think below!
