Have I found the perfect party dress? No, I haven’t and the days till my party are dwindling. I don’t know about anyone else out there, but I love wearing a new outfit to a party. It is a way to make me feel more confident which is always a great thing.
Without further ado, here are some of my choices right now.
First up is this one, which I feel is a nice throwback to the Mad Men era. It shows off an hourglass figure and is in a nice wine color that is great at the holidays.
On to this lacy number that’s incredibly cheap. I’d rather they had a brick and mortar store so I could try it on, this isn’t too bad. I’d just have to make sure it doesn’t LOOK cheap in person. That’s always something to keep in mind when you order online.
Another inexpensive one that could be used after the holidays as a day dress, a work appropriate dress or even a casual one if you throw on a hoodie and some sneaks.
This hot red stunner will get you noticed for sure! If you want to imbibe at the work party and not get caught, I don’t think this is the one for you.
I love this one – I’m not entirely sure why, could be the stripes.
Hopefully you don’t get too hot under the collar with this one! It’s a dress my sister would love to wear because it has a great bowtie neck. She loves those. I love that it’s sleeveless because I always get too hot – especially when I’m dancing.
This screams party to me. I wish I had a great occasion to wear it this year! It’s fun, it has a tulle skirt, and it has lace! I mean, honestly, the only thing that would make it better would be changing the color to red.
There’s a lot of talk lately about the LWD (Little WHITE Dress). If that’s your thing, this one is gorgeous. The ruffle detail is quite original and looks a lot like a designer dress. It would probably do best on someone rather tall or with a long torso. I think someone with a larger chest (me!) might look a bit dumpy in it. But, again, I’d have to try this one on.
Pink isn’t really a color I associate with PARTY, but I think this would be a great holiday party dress because it’s very girly and proper. This would be a great one to wear to a party where you’ll be meeting your future in-laws, too.
I’ve been wanting a Self Portrait dress, but who wants to pay that price? Am I right? Look no further! This could be a pretty decent dupe.
Sometimes holiday parties call for some glitz and glamour – this one would do the job quite nicely. I also like this one for the way I imagine it would look when spinning while dancing.
Back to the lace dress trend. I seem to have a thing for black even though it’s the holidays – it’s just so slimming. And you can always add a pop of color with the heel choice.
This tartan one feels very holiday to me in color and pattern, but not exactly with the shirtdress look. I would wear this to a party where you know most people will be wearing jeans. This will set you apart just a tad, but you’ll still be comfy and look cool. I’d throw some knee length boots with these.
And I’ll close out my selection with a dress I’d love to wear to a work party because it’s so pretty. Way out of my price range right now, but a gal can dream! What do you guys think? Are there any dresses that you love, that you’d like to wear out, or that make you think I’ve lost it? Leave a comment below!
This is a great list, I love the first dress!
