Fun and Sexy Going Out Tops

My friend asked me the other day where to find cute going out shirts that aren’t too expensive, not too trashy, sexy, and age appropriate. Let’s face it, no one wants to look like they walked out of high school when they’re in their 20s and 30s. We want the sophisticated sexy like Amal Clooney, right? I decided to take a look around and see what I think are good choices and what are bad.

I went to Express for this because they have a good selection of going out clothes that can be sophisticated sexy… of course they also have some questionable ones as you can see from below! Okay, okay, I classify the first one as a casual sexy. I can’t seem to find it on the website, but this is close. It would be really cute with a lacy bralette poking out of that for those of you with less chest than I have!

This one is just a no — it feels like something from Forever 21. Maybe if I was going to Coachella or the desert, or had less up on top, like Karlie Kloss it would be acceptable. On me it’s a no.

I don’t know why but I always feel like a tank top is a good option for going out. First off, you’ll never be too hot, and you’re still showing some skin, but not in an obvious way. This tank is great for going out. It shows some skin, has a bit of lace, which as we all know is very in right now. It’s a great weight. It would look awesome with a black moto jacket slung over it. I’d pair it with a pencil skirt or black ripped jeans.

This one is a keeper as well. I like how it’s even more sophisticated with the black and white motif. I’d wear this one with the same pairing as the above, but I’d also wear this to the office because I can get away with it. It would also look great with a suit or even tuxedo pants.
