This is the week for sharing and in that vein, I’d like to share that I’m a huge geek. Not that there’s anything wrong with being one. I’m just not the cool geek girl that everyone claims to be now. I haven’t been to Comic Con. I don’t play video games other than the odd Nancy Drew ones. I’m not up on comic books.
No, mine is a darker, geekier geek than those. I am obsessed with reading. Anything I can get my hands on. I’ll polish off a book or two a week. For a while I was getting my fix through the free online library called Axis. It’s great. The only problem is they don’t have a giant selection.
So… I’ve decided to try out Kindle Unlimited. I know, I know. Paying $9.99 a month for any number of books you want? How could I possibly spend that money on books? Then I took a harder look at it. Some of the books I wanted to read were selling for $7.99 and they were part of the unlimited group. That’s actually a savings. If I was to buy two kindle books of that same price in one month, that’s more than the price of Unlimited.
We’ll see how it goes. Right now I’m in the trial phase. That also means I’m going a little crazy downloading books! So. Much. Reading!!! It’s a dream come true!!!
