Hearts will be thumping in 17 days when Valentine’s Day arrives. Until then, you can get in the mood with my picks. This year I’ve decided to embrace the hearts more than I have in the past. Being born on Valentine’s Day means I get a lot of things with hearts on them. I used to be very annoyed, thinking – just because I was born on V day doesn’t mean everything I get has to have hearts! Now that I’m more mature I wonder why I didn’t embrace the hearts. They’re awesome.

This Loft dress has such a subtle heart pattern, it can be worn even after Valentine’s Day. Who says hearts have to only be for that day? Not me! In looking at it from a distance it looks like a polka dot dress, which is always in style. Adding a pop of red with a heel, or even the Kate Spade heels (number 3), would make the outfit fun without being too young looking.
Kate Spade brought back the iconic Sam bag a year ago, and it looks like it has no plans on stopping it. This heart bag is boxy, yet very ladylike at the same time. It looks like it won’t have any problems standing up on its own, as well as keeping its shape no matter how much you stuff into it.
Keeping with the Kate Spade train, check out these kitten heels. They are adorable. I love the shape of the heel, the fact that it’s a lower one, and the combo of black and red. These would also look so fun with a pair of jeans and a top. (Psst – as of today, the jeans are on sale!)
This ring from Tiffany is the biggest spurge item in this round up, but it’s too pretty to ignore. Not only will it look pretty on your finger, it will also remind you to think about love. Awww…
How cute is this heart shirt? It looks light and airy. It would look cute with jeans, or a skirt, like number 6. It’s by Rails, so that means it’s going to be super soft. I don’t know about you all, but my clothes have to be super soft – I’m a stickler about that.
If you like this skirt, hurry up and buy it – there are only 4 left! I’m not surprised with this cute bow. I love how the bow will make your waist look tiny from the way it goes into a shallow point. This could also be worn way after Valentine’s Day because other than the color, there’s nothing that truly marks it as such.
If you’re not feeling like jumping all in on the heart trend these sunglasses are a great way to go. These sunnies are reminiscent of Saint Laurent 254 LouLou sunglasses. They’re just a fun pair to have for a season. Then you can pitch them at the end while feeling no remorse.
These flats look comfy. You guys know I’m all about comfy and flats, so these look like they fit that requirement. I like that this color isn’t so in your face pink, it’s more of a subtle, almost peachy color. I would love to see these with a pair of black jeans.
Love is all. What a great saying, right? I love that this is on a shirt. I would wear this with a blazer and jeans, or slacks. This feels like something a French girl would wear with her ballet flats – or the ones above!
Speaking of dressing like a French girl, this Breton striped shirt with lips on it fits that bill. I love stripes, but this is a fun way to mix it up. It’s also perfect for the winter with its long sleeves. This is another shirt that would look great with the skirt (number 6) or jeans.
That’s it for this heart’s a plenty round up. Are there any that pique your interest? Are there any that you’re going to hop on ASAP? If so, let me know in the comments below or tag me on instagram (@abovetheplumtree) so I can see your treasures!
