Holiday Christmas Tree

What makes a holiday dress different from other dresses?  It’s a fun dress, one that has texture like velvet, or is sparkly, shimmery, or metallic, and has a vibe of fun about it, after all, we’re at the party to have fun and your dress should reflect that.

Fancy Party

If you’re off to a fancy party, lucky you!  I’ve always wanted to go to a swanky sort of ‘do’ but haven’t been that lucky yet.  Numbers 1, 2, 3, and 7, 8, 9 are my choices for a fancy sort of holiday party.  They are somewhat on the sexier side, because who says you can’t do a party like that?  I have visions of these dresses with high heels and faux fur coats.  One caveat, number 8 is actually over $100 but when I was doing the initial looking it was on sale, so hopefully it goes on sale again, soon!

Work Party

This is a party your office throws at a bar or restaurant.  You want to dress up, but you also want something that you can wear to the office.  Numbers 4, 5, 6, and 10, 11, 12 are made for this.  A number of them are sleeveless, so for your work day, throw on a cardigan or blazer if you get chilly or if you work in a conservative office.  Numbers 5 and 10 might not look that party ready, but remember texture?  Number 5 is velour, and number 10 is polka-dotted.  Another warning on number 12, it was under $100 when I first found it.  I had to include it because it has fringe.  I’m telling you, there’s something so fun about fringe, you can swirl around in the dress and feel magical.

Party At The Office

If this is you, I’m sorry, but you can still bring some fun holiday cheer to the office with your outfit while keeping it work appropriate.  Numbers 13 – 18 fall into this category.  They range from lacy to pearls to jumpsuits to kimono-like dresses.  I chose red(dish) and green, the quintessential colors of Christmas.  You will also be able to get away with wearing these after the holidays as well.  I would pair any of the dresses with knee-high boots, and the jumpsuit with some peep toe booties in grey or black.

I hope this has helped you, let me know in the comments below.  If you are going to a holiday party, I hope you have an awesome time.  Tag me on insta to let me see your look!
