Bags are a staple in a woman’s wardrobe and we usually change them for the seasons. Or at least I do. Since we’re in the holiday season, I’m sure lots of you are asking Santa for designer bags. But what if Santa’s not able to afford a traditional Chanel bag? There are some great dupes for a number of designer bags – some are so close you can barely tell the difference. I found 18 different dupes that are great for this time of year to take to parties, to take to work, or just to get as a present.
These bags run the gamut from a dupe for a Chanel backpack, to a YSL clutch, to a Gucci bag. I would buy any of these dupes in a hot second, but I have to hold back and remember I’m not shopping for myself. I’ve got gifts to shop for! And if that’s you… check out the picks!

Some of these dupes, like 2, 7, and 18 are very close to the original, although they might be in a different color. I would buy these and be ready for people to ask if they’re the designer version. The great thing about buying a dupe of a bag you really like is that it’s as if you’re “trying on” the bag. You can decide if you want to spend the money on the designer bag after you’ve used the dupe bag for a while. For example, I have a great French Connection bag that I love that’s a dupe for the Celine Trio Cross Body so now I’m thinking of investing in the designer version of it.
Dupes are nothing to be ashamed of, as you can see, there are so many great dupes out there, you’d be ridiculous to not take advantage of them. Also, they make great presents. Just sayin’! Let me know if you have any dupes that you love, or if you’re going to check out some of these.
