Inspired By Designer Goods But Without The Price Tag

Are you inspired by all the designer bags, shoes, and clothes but cannot fathom spending hundreds of dollars on them? Yeah, me too. Luckily, there are a lot of ways to get the look for less. I usually refer to these items as “dupes” but someone I follow used “inspired by” and I rather like that. I’ve rounded up a number of items that aren’t exactly the same as their designer counterparts, but super close. I like to think it’s also better that they’re inspired by it because if they’re outright copying, that’s terrible and illegal.

I’m going to be completely honest – there is no way I can afford Chanel anything right now – but these shoes above? They make me feel like I’m a little closer to Chanel than I was before.

Inspired by Cami NYC

Number 1

Did you know that Amazon has this fashion area called “The Drop” where they do limited runs of clothes that fashion influencers design? And they also have their “basic’s” section as well. This cami comes from their basics. It reminded me of the Cami NYC ones – that are like almost $180 for a single camisole! I seriously can’t pay that much for such little fabric, so this is a great dupe for it.

Inspired by AG Jeans

Number 2

Amazon is the go-to for all dupes. In fact, they also partner with big designers to make fashion lines for less money – case in point. These jeans are from a line called “Hale” which comes from the designer of AG Jeans Adriano Goldschmied. So you’re basically getting the AG jeans for way less than you would at Nordstrom.

Inspired by Avec Les Filles

Number 3

I saw this super cool Avec Les Filles shearling biker coat at Nordies months ago. It’s currently sold out – and it was way too much money anyway. Enter this ah-mazing dupe from Amazon (of course) for way less. Honestly, I can’t tell much difference between the two.

Inspired by Chanel

Number 4

Check out these Chanel inspired booties. They’ve got the cap toe and the heel that makes it so close to the Chanel ones. And they’ll go with everything.

Number 5

I think this croc embossed bag is adorable. The shape of it is also so different from a lot of what’s out there right now. Same could be said for the Nanushka bag it looks like. This is a new designer to me, but I rather like it.

Number 6

I don’t know about anyone else, but the Sophia Webster butterfly heels just call to me. I’m not even sure why since I don’t wear heels this high. However, for anyone who does, these Amazon dupes are fantastic! You’re sure to get compliments whenever you wear these.

Number 7

You have probably heard me going on about the Spanx Leggings that every influencer seems to have. And honestly, for good reason, they’re really comfy. I know they’re not the most affordable leggings out there. These Amazon ones are a very close match.

Number 8

The Golden Goose sneakers aren’t going away anytime soon. And who wants to pay over $500 for a pair of shoes that are already dirty? I hear they’re really comfy, but I’ll have to take everyone’s word on that one. These high tops that are inspired by GG might be uncomfortable, I have no idea, but for about $60 I can put my shoe inserts in and make them comfy! (Does that make me old now?)

Number 9

I had to throw this one in. It’s not a round up of dupes if there’s not a Chanel cap toe slingback included! It’s the quintessential Chanel shoe and is such a great work appropriate shoe. It will dress up any outfit you’re wearing, even if you’re just wearing jeans.

Number 10

This bag is more for my UK followers since it comes from Warehouse. It reminds me of a Danse Lente Johnny bag with the top handle. It’s more of a bucket bag, sort of like a Staud one, as well.

I hope this roundup will help you look like a million dollars without having to spend all that. Do you have any favorites of this group? Do you own any of these dupes or designer items? Let me know in the comments below!

As always, the posts contain affiliate links to use for coffee or maybe a fancy dinner every so often.
