Labor Day Sales are upon us.  Get thee to a mall ASAP!  Or get online.  Really, has anyone else noticed the stock in the stores are woefully mediocre compared to the online choices of the same store?  It feels like the stores themselves are telling us to only shop online.  We’re going back to the way things were in the 1800s where everyone ordered through a catalogue and their items were shipped to them.  Only now, it takes a fraction of the time to choose and get the packages.  I guess that’s something, huh?  Enough with the belly-aching, right?  On with my picks for this Labor Day!

In honor of “the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country,” we celebrate Labor Day.  And what better way to celebrate than to go shopping?  I’m in!  As I said above, I’m doing more and more online shopping and have gotten codes for the following sales:  Express – 40% off everything, Good American – 40% off, SheIn – take an extra 20% off with code SFX20, and Ann Taylor – extra 60% off sale and 40% off full-price.

I love the smell of a sale in the morning.

1. Ann Taylor – Double Ruffle Sleeve Tee | 2. Ann Taylor – The Striped Wide Leg Marina Pant | 3. Good American – The Starstruck Body | 4. boohoo – Crepe Fitted Suit | 5. SheIn – Square Print Bow Tie Neck Blouse | 6. Good American – Good Waist Crop Raw Edge Jeans | 7. Express – Ribbed Puff Shoulder Sweetheart Sheath Dress | 8. Express – Mesh Drape Asymmetrical Midi Dress | 9. SheIn – Studded Strap Gladiator Heels | 10. Express – Downtown Cami

1 & 2 – These are both from Ann Taylor, the home of work appropriate clothing.  I’m digging the wide leg pants lately.  I’ve worn a pair all summer and I love the breeze they give me.  They’re quite comfortable.  These here (2) have a subtle stripe which, as everyone knows, I love.  The top (1) isn’t matched with it, but I think it would look great with the pants.  I would tuck it in, so it gives it a nice silhouette.  I also like the pop of color.

3 – Bodysuits.  Yay or nay?  I’m still on the fence about them in general, but this one is pretty cool.  I wouldn’t wear it without anything underneath, that’s just not me.  I would pair it with a bandeau or cami for work.  However, on the weekend, if I’m feeling especially saucy, I’d wear it with a frilly black bra or bralette.

4 – I’ve never gone in for the suit ensemble, but this one spoke to me.  It reminds me a little of something Meghan Markle would have worn pre-Dutchess days.  I love the color of this one.  Going into fall, I’d put a black cami under it, and pair it with a black trench on top and black heels, like number 9, to make it pop.

5 & 6 – I have these paired together to make an outfit that would be great for a creative office.  The proper looking top, with the tie at the top, paired with jeans and heels create a sophisticated take on work appropriate.  I also like the shirt has rectangles because that’s an unexpected pattern.  It’s almost like polka dots, but slightly different.  You know I like to be different.

7 & 8 – Grouping these two together since they’re both dresses and slightly sultry ones at that.  If you add a blazer to either of these, they could easily become work appropriate.  If you want to go out after, take off the blazer and instant va-va-voom.  Again, I’d pair either of these with the number 9 heel.  For the black dress (8) I might decide to go with a pop of color on my heels (either white or pink) instead.

9 – The only shoe to make this list.  These pumps are an almost perfect dupe for the Valentino rockstud heels, but a much cheaper version.  As I said, I would pair these with a dress, skirt, jeans, or dress pants.  It’s one of those shoes that can go with anything.

10 – Saved the best for last.  This is my new favorite tank top.  I have it in the red and purple colors.  It’s great for going out on the town because it shows skin, yet it’s also nice for work with a sweater or blazer on top.  I will probably wear this most of the fall and into winter.  It has a lining inside which makes it a little warmer than a regular tank top.

Well, that’s my Labor Day round-up.  Whatcha guys think?  I’ve also fixed the comments so you can leave them without signing in.  Definitely leave one and let me know what you think about these choices.
