Loft Outlet: My Picks for a Wardrobe Refresh

Loft outlet is a place I usually go to when I am out shopping with my family at the outlet mall. Since I’m not going to one anytime soon I wondered if they were online… guess what, they are! I ordered a few pieces to update my wardrobe – most of which are still on their way to me – and I’m sharing them with you all! I’ve also included a few picks that I didn’t buy. Or at least haven’t bought yet. Check out my picks below.

Loft Outlet Skirt

Years ago, outlets were just the rejected clothes that had things wrong with them. Nowadays, it seems like some clothes are designed specifically for the outlet store. In the case of the Loft Outlet I think it’s a little of both. I saw this cute striped dress below (number 6) in the Loft store the other day. These others I haven’t seen at the regular store, however.

Loft Outlet Picks

1. Striped Strappy Pocket Dress | 2. Tie Waist A-Line Skirt | 3. Curvy Skinny Ankle Jeans in White | 4. Tie Waist Crop Pants | 5. Tasseled Pull On Skirt | 6. Striped Cross Back Flare Dress

Number 1 is the perfect dress for the office during the summer. The cut is demure and classic. It would look great with a blazer either in white or black. I also love that it has pockets. Seriously, is there anything better than a dress with pockets? Okay, so maybe lots of things, but I love it when a dress has pockets. I would pair this with a summer ready espadrille or sandals.

Number 2 is the skirt I’m wearing in the picture. I wore it on its inaugural outing yesterday and loved it. I’m wearing the medium in regular not petite. I still have a problem with petite vs regular. I find that I always have to size up in petite. Just because you’re short, it doesn’t mean you’re a petite size for some reason. My skirt is a lot longer than the one in the picture from the website, but I’m cool with that. I think it’s a nice almost midi length without being too midi. I wore this with a plain white t-shirt that I knotted to the side. This is a new look for me and I rather like it. It emphasizes the waist without having to tuck it in and get it all bunched up.

Number 3 is on my list of things I still need to buy. There is nothing better in the summer than a crisp white pair of jeans with a tan, colorful shirt, and sandals. I like that these are made for curvy gals like me. This is another thing that can be worn to the office or out on the town.

Number 4 is currently on the way to me. Last summer I found out that wide leg crop pants are my summertime jam. I had to order another pair for this summer. I will be taking the tie part out of the belt loops because I’m not a huge fan of that part. It’s hard to find a pair of these pants without the tie. I suggest these over the paperbag pant trend because finding a shirt that goes with that is tricky. I will wear these pants with just about anything; sneakers, sandals, tank top, crop top (that’s not too croppy), and a tied t-shirt.

Number 5 is another item I’m currently waiting on. I don’t feel comfortable wearing shorts to the office, no matter how cute they are, so skirts are my summer goto instead. I put my fave Jockey skimmies under all the skirts and dresses I wear so I don’t get thigh chafe and I’m super comfy all day. I also like this blue color. It will look great with a white tank in the office or just bumming around the city. This skirt is another that will look great with sneaks, heels or espadrille flats.

Number 6 is the best! If you’ve been following this blog for a while, or my Instagram, you know my love of stripes. Not only does this have stripes, the back of the dress is a cutout. It looks like it will be able to hide a bra strap, and doesn’t show too much skin in the back, just enough to be a little sexy. It could also be worn to work alone or with a blazer. Again, sandals will look great with this dress. It can also transition well to fall, but let’s not think about that just yet. We haven’t even celebrated the first day of summer yet.

I’m currently waiting on numbers 4, 5, and 6 to arrive. When I do, I’ll be able to update you via my stories on Instagram on how they fit and if I like them or not. I’m expecting good things from these items. What do you guys think? Did I make good choices, do you like some, hate others? Let me know in the comments.
