“In the summertime when the weather is hot
You can stretch right up and touch the sky” – Mungo Jerry
Summertime is here and with it comes new styles. I have to be totally honest – I desperately needed new clothes. One day I realized my jeans had holes in the crotch area (thigh rub), my shirt had tiny pinprick holes at the bottom, then when I got home, even my undies had a hole! Unacceptable! That’s when I realized I needed new clothes ASAP. However, that also started a shopping spree that’s still going strong. I’m eyeing some new pieces below and also have purchased some. Come along to find out more about my picks.
You guys know by now that I’m a huge fan of the Loft and the Loft Outlet. If you’ve been keeping up here on the blog, you’ll remember that I did a post on things I got from the Loft Outlet. I’m sorry to report that the only thing I ended up keeping was the grey skirt. That’s why I’m still shopping.

Number 1 – I’m not sure you guys know, but I am a huge fan of wide leg crop pants. I got a pair last summer and have been searching for another pair this year. I thought the pair from The Loft Outlet would be perfect, but they weren’t. Turns out those were lined. Who the heck wants lined pants in the summertime? Not me! These ones look lightweight and very comfy. I’m actually a fan of the print as well. Why not go for fun prints right now?
Number 2 – I just got this dress! I saw @hauteandhumid wearing this dress 3 days ago and thought it looked comfy and cool. Two of my requisites for summertime dresses. This fits the bill magnificently.
Number 3 – This bathing suit is adorable. I love the stripes (of course!) and the strapless situation. The fun thing is that it’s part of the Barbie collab with Unique Vintage. This suit is perfect for lounging poolside in the south of France with a darling hat.
Number 4 – I’ll admit I don’t love wearing shorts all the time, but these with the scalloping around the edges are so cute. I would pair these with a pink tank top and the Soludos (number 7) for a cute summertime fun look.
Number 5 – I’ve just learned that some of my readers in the UK and abroad can’t order the things I’ve posted since they’re always US based companies. So this bag is available to both UK and US. This bag is a great dupe for a Danse Lente Mini Johnny bag.
Number 6 – I found out about this site from Somewhere, Lately. I’m obsessed with the Troop Beverly Hills tee. I loved that movie growing up – oh who am I kidding? I still love it. “Beverly Hills, what a troop!” This is the next thing on my list to purchase. The only thing that I’m not too fond of is how their sizing looks. I’ll let you all know what I think when I get it.
Number 7 – Another recent purchase for me. On the Nordies website it says to size down from your normal size. I agree with this – I bought mine in a size 5. They are a wee bit tight around the outside of the fabric, but I think they’ll stretch out. My Soludos smoking slippers stretched out a LOT.
Number 8 – This is another UK (pants & blazer) and US product. I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a whole suit look. They are very popular right now. I like the idea of a summertime suit in a fun color. It would be a perfect look for work this summer. I love how sleek and professional it looks, and I’d definitely pair mine with sneakers.
What do you guys think? Are there any items here you’d buy or are going to buy? I gotta say I’m excited to wear the dress this summer along with my espadrilles. By the way, the espadrilles are pretty great dupes for the Castañer espadrilles. Not a huge cost savings, but you do save some. Let me know if you get any of these or even just what your opinion is in the comments below!
