Boho tops are synonymous with summer, long skirts, sandals, and sand. I happened upon a fun white boho top at American Eagle over the weekend fell in love with it. It led me to thinking that I should share it with you guys and include more tops. So I found 7 other ones that I like and would wear.
1. Forever 21 – O-Ring Trim Peasant Top | 2. Shein – Knot Front Frill Off Shoulder Top | 3. Madewell – Texture & Thread Peasant Top | 4. American Eagle – Lace Shell Tank Top | 5. Gap – Eyelet Embroidered Flutter Sleeve Top | 6. Macy’s – Free People – Sweet Little Tee | 7. Vici – All About The Drama Statement Blouse | 8. Vici – Wise Beyond Her Years Crochet Cotton Top
We start out with one of the cheapest options of the bunch, but still very cool. However, this boho top doesn’t look cheap. The long sleeves would be great for the transition to spring and then into summer. I know some women who wear long sleeves into the summer, and this would serve them well. It would pair nicely with jeans, a gold necklace, and sandals.
Number 2 is the epitome of boho chic! I love that it’s off the shoulder and cropped. This would pair nicely with a long maxi skirt. I’ve never been one for a cropped shirt, but this summer I feel like branching out. Why not show a little more skin – after all it’s hot!
The Madwell shirt would be perfect for everyday. Throw it on for work or for fun, it’s perfect for both. It might not be exactly boho, but it’s pretty and a definite staple for your wardrobe.
Number 4 is the shirt that inspired this post! I can pair it with a skirt, like above, jeans – maybe even a funky pastel color like this, and slacks. One thing to remember, you’ll want to wear something fitted on the bottom because the top is flowy. If you don’t – you have an issue like this. Not a good look.
The eyelet top from Gap is a sweet one. Like the one from Madewell, it is more structured and less flowy, but it’s still a solid choice. This would be adorable paired with shorts and some espadrille smoking slippers.
I’m a fan of the brand Free People because they do a lot of gypsy, free flowing, type of pieces. This one is no exception. It’s definitely flowy and would be so perfect with wide leg pants. I would look for ones that have a little more structure since the shirt isn’t. The shirt hangs in such a great way.
I love how delicate, dainty, and elegant this top looks. The name of it says everything: All About The Drama. This would be a gorgeous dichotomy between elegant and comfort by pairing it with a pair of black jean shorts.
Last up is this cotton crocheted top. It’s so summery! I love the crochet detail and the crew neck. Usually these types of shirts are over the top sexy, but this one isn’t. This would be a nice beach coverup too, over your suit so just the bottom pokes out. That feels very Nantucket summer to me – throwing it on, looking for crabs in the sand, and then having a good old bonfire on the beach. I’ve never actually done that, but I think I read about it somewhere and it’s stuck with me. I don’t think they allow bonfires on the beach, come to think of it, but I’m still sticking to this idea.
What do you guys think? Are you a fan of the boho or peasant top? Do any of these call out to you? Stay tuned to Insta to see another way of wearing the American Eagle blouse. It’ll be dropping in the next couple of weeks. Let me know what you guys think!
