Fall is in the air. Next on the agenda is apple picking, Halloween costumes, and low temps. This is my time of year. Since I did a post on summer purses, I thought one on fall bags would be fun. Whenever the temps start to drop, I know it’s time to put away my summer raffia bags and bring out the sturdier ones; the bags that are ready for the rain or snow.

Sometimes a person doesn’t want a dark colored bag for the fall, but at the same time you don’t want it to be too much of a summer color. That’s where a nice blush/neutral color comes in. Number 1 fits that description quite well. I like how this one is a different shape than what we’re used to. It reminds me of this purse from a movie called “Bells Are Ringing” where she is able to put coffee and a danish in the bag. I wonder if I could do that with this one? Probably one of the reasons I like it.
Number two is a perfect color to combat the rain and snow in the coming months. It reminds me a bit of the YSL Monogram Mattelasse Leather Chain Wallet. Since it’s from Forever 21 you can afford to use it for a season and give it away. If you give it away, you’re combating the fast fashion, disposable nature of the store.
I could not leave number 3 out. It’s a dog! I’m obsessed with dogs, so my eye was on this wristlet. I would pop this in a bigger bag for work and take it out when I need to go to grab food. Then I don’t have to drag my entire giant bag everywhere with me. It’ll be easy to find in a bag as well. It’s just so darn cute!
Anyone obsessed with the newest Chloe Tess Bag? I love the new colors for fall and would love to get one. There is a small thing keeping me from buying it though… the price. That’s why I was happy to come across this dupe from Zara (number 4). The color isn’t a match for the new Tess ones, but the structure is similar.
Fendi does an adorable monster bag, but the price is like the Chloë bag, out of my range. I came across this dupe on Amazon. It’s perfect for this coming season.
Number 6 is a real departure for me. I’m not prone to liking bright colors, or anything sparkly. That’s why I’m still wondering why this bag speaks to me. It must be the stripes. This would be lovely against a LBD (little black dress) as a pop of color during the gloomy days of fall.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, animal prints are in for 2018. Luckily for us, I found a zebra type print at Mango. I rarely remember to shop there, but they have some great pieces. This is another bag that would be great with a LBD or a solid color dress, or outfit.
The Topshop bag (8) has an amazing structure. Normally the color would be more spring to me, but I threw it in this round-up because I like it a ton. It looks much more posh than the price, which is huge to me. It would make any outfit prettier.
Anyone else obsessed with Meghan Markle like I am? Good news, Nordstrom is now selling a brand of bags she has worn many times. This is another bag that has a great structure. There are a number of colors, but I like these because they remind me of a football team’s color. This is the only bag on here that is pretty pricey, but it’s an investment piece.
Number 10 is another bag that could be thought of for spring as well due to the color, but I like the size of it. It could hold a lot of things, including number 3, the doggie pouch. On the other hand, I do have some issues with stuffing my bag too full. I’ve ruined many a bag that way. I’m not sure how well this one would hold up being from Mango. It could surprise me and hold up extremely well… I’d just have to give it a whirl and see what happens.
What do you guys think? Are any of these bags on your list for fall? Let me know in the comments below!
The best one is the first one. I had one like it a number of years ago
I love that one too. You’re lucky you had one like that! I’m rather jealous. 🙂
