The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 has posted their preview online ‘catalog‘ and I’ve gone through all 30 pages to save you all the trouble. I have to be honest, even though I found a number of items, I wasn’t that impressed. I guess I was expecting more bang for my buck. I also saw a lot of items were listed multiple times in the pages on the website. As you check these out, you’ll notice I picked a number of black sweaters. I guess that’s what the Coronavirus has done to me – it’s driven me to all black clothes! At least they’re slimming?
Even thought I’m not as pleased as I have been in years previously, I’ve had to split my picks into two groups because there are so many. The first group is the ode to black sweaters. Ok, so it’s not only those, but don’t say I didn’t warn you!

I love the colors of this dress and the pattern speaks to me right now. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been in lockdown for so long, but this screams pretty to me. It makes me think of running through fields of wheat – even though I’d never actually do that. Ew. Bugs.
I always talk about cozy cardigans in winter. This one looks like it fits the bill. I love the color, the oversized-ness of it, and the big pockets! It would look great as they have it here on the left, but also over a dress!
I know some of my readers like cashmere sweaters during the winter. This is a great one to snap up during this Nordstrom Anniversary sale because it’s only $99. For cashmere, that is a steal!
Speaking of jeans, these are my favorite ones. They’re by Wit and Wisdom and they have a band in them that sort of holds your abs in. But not in a way that it’s uncomfortable. It helps ease that gap in the back of jeans if you get that and you don’t have a pouch in the front. They’re also stretchy and comfy.
This is a great ‘dupe’ for a ML Monique Lhuillier sweater I rented last year through Rent the Runway. I might like this one a smidge better because it doesn’t have a weird shoulder tie. I also like that it’s a V-neck. These sleeves are still really in style. I think it would look nice on a zoom call, while still being comfy and cozy at home.
I love a good hat, and this one does not disappoint. It’s wool, which is nice for the winter. Are we going to be able to go out this winter? I’m honestly unsure, but if you’re a hat gal, I’d still get this one. It’s a Brixton one, which I think are great quality hats.
Here’s another shirt that would look great during a zoom call. Super professional, looks comfy and no one would know if you’re pairing it with leggings, or jeggings. I like the sheer sleeves – it’s a touch of flair without being too flashy.
Another cashmere sweater, this one with wool. If you run cold in the winter, this one is calling your name. It’s probably one of the most expensive items I’ve chosen, but for cashmere AND wool, I’d say go for it. This price won’t be around for long.
I can see some of you shaking your heads at this one, but hear me out. I just got a pair of bike shorts after seeing every “It-girl” wearing them. I thought ugh, how annoying – they can’t be that great. Let me tell you, I have been converted. I don’t have these Spanx ones, but the quality of Spanx is great, so I’d get them.
Yep, another black sweater. Actually, I meant to post the Red Persimmon one, but got caught up in the black trend. I have a sweater similar to this one – in fact it might be this one – and love it. It’s soft, and fits well, if it’s the same one I’m thinking of, it’s a little more lightweight than the others I’ve listed.
It’s not a Nordstrom Anniversary sale without a Barefoot Dreams inclusion. Frankly, I’m surprised they don’t have the robes or blankets on the sale. Anyhoo – I am loving this new leopard print addition to the cardi party.

Ok, at first I wasn’t sure what was going on with this sweater until I read the description. There is no clear back or front, you can wear either as the front or either as the back! How cool is that? Two sweaters for the price of one. I love the idea of this. It also looks like it’s a nice weight for me – lighter than usual sweaters. This was a nice surprise in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, because I’ve never seen it before.
I’m very into yellow lately – and this dress jumped out at me. Even though we’re getting ready for fall and winter with this Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, you can still find gems to wear now, like this one. The tie front is also a nice touch. In the fall and winter, you can throw a cozy sweater on top.
Joggers! Everyone rejoice because these are gonna be great for those of us who are still working from home till the end of the year. I am a fan of Zella in general; they’re my go-to for workout pants because they’re so comfy and soft.
This is another great one for working from home. It’s a sweatshirt with blouson sleeves – could anything be better? Cozy and classy all at once.
This blazer reminds me of Chanel. I love a good tweed. This will look great with jeans as it is here, or all dressed up in a skirt or black slacks.
Wide leg pants! I’m in. I love a good wide leg pant, especially in the summer. And think how comfy they’ll be sitting at your desk either at home OR in the office. And it’s got that cute tie, so it looks professional if you’re going for that, or cutesy if you’re going for that!
This is a great deal – I got it for my mom some years ago and she loved it. It goes on smoothly and is one of the top notch lotions. You get two so that’s awesome.
I don’t know about you all, but my hair has been really weird lately. The highlights are growing out and so my hair is getting dry. This set might be a great idea for me to get. It also might be a great thing to get and squirrel away for a Christmas present. And, this is not only a company owned by a woman, she’s a black woman. So show some support – it’s easy to do with this great product.
I know we’re not really having parties anymore, but who says you can’t serve yourself using a pretty serving board? Just imagine a cheese plate on this pretty serving board.
Ok, this might be the most fun thing I’ve ever seen offered during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in my decades long shopping career. It’s a faux fur sleeping bag! It looks like the faux fur is inside as well as outside. This would be another cute gift to give for Christmas, or… for yourself to lounge on your couch with!
Here’s another fun and flirty top. Maybe if you have zoom dates, this would be a good idea. Or if you’re tired of all cozy and comfy clothes, you’ll throw this on in the morning. Who doesn’t love a good animal print?
This sweater looks like a French gal would wear it as she prances around Paris. I want to be that French gal. This is definitely on my wish list because it looks cozy. If you couldn’t tell from the majority of my picks, I’m all into comfort. This would be super cute with biker shorts, too! Boom, I went there!
