Way Day is almost here! What’s that you might be wondering? Why it’s when Wayfair has a huge sale and it’s happening on April 27 & 28th! It also includes free shipping. So now is the time get your wishlist ready and then continue to check back and see if what you want is on sale. Now, I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog. Well, I’ve been going through some huge changes. I moved from New York city to the suburbs of Chicago. You might be asking why? Well, I want to be closer to my nephews. They’re the cutest little guys and now I can go to their activities and all that without having to hop on a plane. Is this where I will live forever? No idea! But it’s where I am for now, so you’ll be seeing a lot more of home decor content because I need to fix up my new apartment. I hope you’re all in for this new journey!

1 Dedde 14.5” W x 68” H x 12.5” D Linen Cabinet | 2. Stehouse 35.94” Tall 2 – Door Accent Cabinet | 3. Hiers Eucalyptus Solid Wood Dining Table | 4. Batesville 64″ Arched Floor Lamp | 5. Ciara 69″ Torchiere Floor Lamp | 6. Harmond 60″ Arched Floor Lamp | 7. Lodi Sand Standard Cotton Modern & Contemporary Coverlet / Bedspread | 8. Armands 26.5” Tall 1 – Drawer Nightstand in Light Brown | 9. Drexler 17” Tall Drum End Table | 10. Branson 4 – Person Dining Set
Perhaps you’re wondering why I chose these pieces… don’t worry, I’ll fill you in. I’ve noticed that there’s never enough overhead lighting in apartments, no matter if it’s a new build, or old, so I need more floor lamps. That is why I’ve included numbers 4, 5, and 6. Personally, I’m leaning more toward number 4. It’s a little more traditional, but I like the lampshade.
Number 1 is up there because I don’t have a linen closet. In my old apartment I did. Here in the new one I have one big walk-in closet, but I don’t like putting all my linens and things in there. I’d rather use it for more clothes. I like this one and hope it’s going to be on sale during the Way Day extravaganza. If it’s not, I’ll probably pass.
I’m still rather into rattan. That’s why I chose numbers 2 and 8. It’s a nice sort of easy ‘in’ to the rattan trend. I don’t have an entry way anymore, but I still need somewhere to drop my stuff when I get in to the apartment. If this accent cabinet has even more money knocked off for the Way Day sale, I think I’m going to buy it. And, remember when I talked about jumping on the boho trend? Well, these two items would be great to get on that trend.
Changing up bedding for spring is something that also comes to mind. This coverlet (number 7) is by Annie Selke! I didn’t know they sold her stuff at Wayfair. If you have a king size bed, now is the time to snap this one up.
I think number 9 would look adorable on a balcony or patio. I think other people do too because it’s almost sold out, so move fast!
The dining tables are there because I need a dining table and chairs. Who knew it was so hard to make a decision about that? I might have to wait on these until after the sale because I’m also waiting for a new couch to arrive. I tell you, moving is expensive! It’s not just the move itself, it’s not just paying for the new apartment, it’s also outfitting your new place. Things that might have been great for your last place have no place to stay in the new home, so then you have to buy new furniture even though you moved with a bunch of furniture. What a catch-22, right?
Are you guys excited to shop the sale this week? Are you looking for anything in particular? If so, hit me up here or on the social channels and I’ll help you look for something.
