Obsessed. That’s what I am about the current Old Navy offerings. I’m going to tell you all up front that this is in no way sponsored by Old Navy; I just am surprised by how much I’m digging what they’re putting out! Take a look with me…
I have these gems below. The black jumpsuit is on repeat because I’m that obsessed with it. Jumpsuits are really in this summer, but I wasn’t sure if I’d want to hop on the trend. What a surprise to find out that I love them and have been living in mine.
1. Fit & Flare Tiered Cami Dress | 2. Sueded Cross-Strap Slide Sandals | 3. Mid-Rise Curvy Skinny Jeans | 4. Relaxed Button-Front Gingham Top | 5. Strappy Faux-Leather Sandals |
6. Sleeveless Cinched-Waist Linen-Blend Jumpsuit
The pink/peachy dress (1) is cute. It’s a fun dress. I’ve worn it with heels and I’ve worn it with sneakers. The sneakers add a relaxed vibe, which I love. I got that in a large due to the chest area. It puts me in a flirty sort of mindset no matter what shoes I’m wearing with the dress.
I’m rather obsessed with sandals right now. You’d think having lived in Los Angeles for 11 years, I would be tired of them, but nope. I like them more now than I did when I lived out there. I’m betting it’s due to the fact we have winter in New York and I don’t have as much time in the year to wear sandals. The metallic ones (5) have been on repeat with any dress I’ve worn. The cross-strap slides (2) haven’t been worn as much mainly because I drag my feet when I wear them. I hate that noise, but the sandals are way too cute.
Jeans! I think I’ve gone on and on about my love for Athleta jeans, but I’ve had a second pair get holes in the crotch! That is unacceptable. The material must be too soft to hold up to all the walking I do. Or perhaps I should say for all the thigh rubbing that happens! That’s why I got these jeans (3). I tried on a ton, of course, as women always do, and I ended up getting the curvy skinny ones. I was able to get to a size 8 in these and they fit perfectly. The price is wallet friendly especially compared to the Athleta jeans.
Last summer seemed to be about gingham and it’s still going strong. I love this blue gingham shirt (4) I purchased. I put a bandeau under it for work because I like having the first two buttons open. That makes it not exactly work appropriate, hence the need for the bandeau. This shirt was a departure for me not only because it’s gingham, but it’s also a button down. I did size up to a large in this as well, due to the chest region.
And now the crowning piece of the collection – the black jumpsuit. As I said above, it’s my newest obsession. I love that it’s just one thing I have to wear. The only downsides are that you have to take off the entire outfit when you’re using the bathroom, and that the black material still rubs off when I sweat. I’ve washed it a number of times, but it still comes off and leaves a fun black trail on my body.
Now… on to what I’m still checking out and might end up buying. Old Navy seems to have sales like every weekend, so keep your eyes open for it.
1. Sleeveless Cinched-Waist Crinkle-Gauze Dress | 2. Mid-Rise Soft Utility Shorts | 3. Printed Bow-Tie Slide Sandals | 4. Sueded Bow-Tie Espadrille Wedges | 5. Mid-Rise Built-In Sculpt Clean-Slate Rockstar Ankle Jeans | 6. Graphic Straw Pom-Pom Clutch
The plum flowery dress (1) has me thinking of lazy summer nights under the stars, wearing only sandals. It would be great to throw on after a day at the beach on your way to a great dinner. I’d even bring the straw pineapple clutch (6) on that date. The outfit screams summer!
White jeans (5) are also a summer staple. I love how crisp and clean they look with any shirt. The slides (3) or the espadrilles (4) would be a great addition to the outfit.
I feel like in summer you can never have too many black shorts. These (2) are soft and slouchy. They would look amazing with a pair of sneakers or even the espadrilles (4) to kick up the outfit. An espadrille is practically a must for summer, and I can see myself being obsessed with these. I mean, the bow detail!
So guys, what do you think? Would you wear any of these?
