Stocking stuffers are usually the last thing people think about. The gifts that go into the stockings are necessities like toothpaste, socks, and maybe a hairbrush. Why not give something different this year? I have 10 stocking stuffer ideas for under $30.

Very long ago, there lived a poor man and his three very beautiful daughters. He had no money to get his daughters married, and he was worried what would happen to them after his death. Saint Nicholas was passing through when he heard the villagers talking about the girls. St. Nicholas wanted to help, but knew that the old man wouldn’t accept charity. He decided to help in secret. After dark he threw three bags of gold through an open window, one landed in a stocking. When the girls and their father woke up the next morning they found the bags of gold and were, of course, overjoyed. The girls were able to get married and live happily ever after. Other versions of the story say that Saint Nicholas threw the three bags of gold directly into the stockings which were hung by the fireplace to dry.

That’s how the tradition of stockings was started. Of course, it’s changed from bags of gold in the stockings, to three gold balls, to oranges to represent the gold, to just stuffers that fill the stockings to the brim. This year I challenge you to move away from the normal stuffers to something different.

This ka-BROW eyebrow cream/gel (number 1) is the bomb. I use it almost every day (except on days I forget) because it makes my eyes pop. It’s so easy to use, you can use as much or as little as you want on the brow, and it goes on easily. I highly recommend this product.
Another one of my favorite products is the POREfessional (2) face primer in the mini size. When getting makeup for other people I like to get mini sizes for them to try. That way they don’t have a giant product if they don’t like it. If they do like it, they can then go buy more. This face primer smooths out my face and seems to shrink my pores. It also makes my CC cream go on so smoothly as well as my Bye Bye Undereye cream.
Number 3 is a great headband from Athleta. It’s a great one for keeping your hair off your face when you work out. I also use it to hold my bangs back when I wash my face or do a face mask.
Ok, I think stockings should have some chocolate in them. We used to get chocolate Santas from Fannie May candies until my parents moved to Arizona. I think some peppermint bark would be a great replacement.
Sneaker socks is a must now-a-days because you don’t want your socks to show when you wear your favorite sneakers. These from Athleta (5) tout themselves as invisible. So they should be perfect to wear and not be seen.
I haven’t tried number 6 yet, but I have them on order. I love this idea of a razor that you just add water to, that comes complete with some shaving lotion. Talk about handy for when you maybe forgot to shave before a workout class. Yes, I might be talking from personal experience.
You can never have enough ponytail holders if you have long hair. I always wear one on my wrist, but still always manage to lose a bunch. This pack of ponytail holders will last for a while.
Anyone else still get acne? Raise your hands! I still do, and find it very annoying. My savior are these acne stickers from Peter Thomas Roth (8). They are worn overnight and reduce inflammation and redness. When I get up in the morning, there’s no giant, flaming red, mass staring at me in the mirror. This is another one that gets two huge thumbs up from me.
In the winter I always get cracked and dry skin. Hand cream is a must. This three pack from L’Occitane (9) is sure to do the job. I love buying things from there because it’s like another connection to France.
Last is a pocket mirror with glitter on top. Having a mirror in your bag or in your drawer at work is a nice thing to have. You might eat spinach or kale every day and ask your coworker if you have anything in your teeth. This mirror will help you out and keep your coworker sane.
That’s all 10 stocking stuffers. What do you think? Would you get any of these? Are there any traditions your family has with stockings? If so, let me know in the comments below. I can’t wait to hear from you guys!
