Valentine’s Day is about two weeks away – time to get all the heart stuff for the big day. Sometimes it’s fun to dress in all hearts but some women don’t go in for that. I used to hate anything that had to do with hearts not because I thought they were too girly. My birthday is Valentine’s Day so it’s always a weird time for me. I used to get angry because everyone else gets to celebrate what should be my special day. And there are hearts EVERYWHERE! Now that I’m older, I have embraced the hearts. That’s why I’m sharing a bunch of them with you this week. For those that still haven’t embraced the hearts, I also have some red clothes with no hearts.

I always try to wear something red on the big day just because I think it’s fun. Even if you don’t have a significant other, it doesn’t mean you have to eschew the ‘holiday’ entirely. Lots of people do ‘Galentine’s Day’ with their friends, while others do “International Quirkyalone Day,” Ferris Wheel Day,” or “Library Lover’s Day.”

Can you believe these exist? I was shocked too. Now, it takes a certain person to pull these off, but if that’s you, run to the site and get them because they’re on sale! If you do end up getting these, I would pair it with a LBD (little black dress) because you want the focus to be on the shoes.

How can you make hearts sophisticated? See picture to the left. This is such a great work outfit. It is from Unique Vintage which I have been digging lately. Vintage stuff intrigues me – but I don’t like the smell that comes with authentic vintage stuff. I also find it super annoying to dig through clothes in order to find treasures. I know, I’m lazy.

I’ve never been into Revolve dresses or the website in general, but this dress has changed my mind. I’ll be looking on that site a little more. This dress could be worn for a Valentine’s Day celebration or anytime. It would look really cute in the summer with some sandals. For now, I’d throw a sweater over it for a sexy, devil may care, look.

What a gorgeous red dress, am I right? The small balloon sleeve is just the right amount of girly-ness. The blouson of the shirt is oh so flattering, and the length of the skirt is perfect. This is fantastic for work and a sophisticated cocktail party. I’ve never been to one of those, but if I do go this is something I would wear. It is great to transition from day to night.

How hysterical is this PJ top? “Not Today Cupid.” It’s for all of us non-romantics. You can fall asleep with a smile on your face knowing you’re safe from cupid’s annoying arrow.
Will you be celebrating Valentine’s Day or sitting it out this year? I hope if you do celebrate it you do it up right! Put some red on and own it. And let me know what you think about this post in the comments.
