The fashion line, Veronica Beard, is a celeb favorite and one of mine, however, it’s one of those lines that’s a wee bit out of my budget. Back before COVID, when I was doing Rent The Runway, I chose one of her dresses and loved it. Since I’m no longer doing that, I realized I had to find a new way to indulge in my designer love. How am I going to do that? Well, I’ve narrowed down 4 pieces from the New Arrivals selection that I liked the best and went on a hunt for a similar look, but for way less money.
1. Veronica Beard – Carson High-Rise Ankle Flare Jean | 2. Banana Republic Factory – High-Rise Light Wash Summerweight Denim Flare Crop Jean | 3. Asos – high rise stretch ‘effortless‘ crop kick flare jeans in antique light wash | 4. Nordstrom – Rails – Addison Smocked Cheetah Print Linen Blend Miniskirt | 5. Loft – Leopard Print Smocked Pull On Skirt | 6. Veronica Beard – Melodie Smocked Miniskirt | 7. Veronica Beard – Atari Chambray Dress | 8. Asos – New Look denim smock mini dress in blue | 9. Mango – Openwork cotton top | 10. Anthropologie – Dreamer Ruffled Eyelet Blouse | 11. Veronica Beard – Jie Eyelet Top

These are a little difficult to match up completely, both of these inspired picks are a little different from the original Veronica Beard jeans, but they’re close enough. The Banana Republic ones (2) come close with the flare crop at the bottom of the jeans, while the color of the Asos ones (3) come closer in the color. Frankly, I like the Asos ones the best because I’d rather wade into the color rather than the flare.
The smocked skirt is a definite summer staple in any closet and this Veronica Beard one is adorable. The Loft one (3) comes closest to the original skirt. If you’re up for a different color, one more subdued, the Rails one (1) is more your speed. That one will also transition nicely into fall with the colors.
This top is a summer staple and fairly easy to find similar tops. The Anthropologie one (2) is a bit of a stretch but I like how vintage inspired it is. It follows the feminine vibe of the original, but pushes it even more. The Mango top is very similar, and if you’re into the sleeveless, you should definitely go for that one. I predict you’ll wear it all summer long.
If you’re looking to nail the Veronica Beard aesthetic without spending the money, these are certainly the way to go. Let me know what you think and if there are any I’ve missed!
