The huge insider sale at Sephora has begun! It’s started for Sephora Rogue members on Friday, April 26th and runs till May 6th. Regular VIB members and beauty insiders get in on the sale starting May 2nd. It ends for everyone on May 6th. Since Sephora rarely has these sales, don’t wait because your favorite items might be all sold out. Speaking from personal experience here, one of the colors I wanted sold out before I could get there in person.

Up first on my insider purchases is the Milk Makeup mascara. I wear mascara mainly on the weekends or going out. I’m not a huge fan of wearing it during the week because it tends to bug me. I have a large pupil and I can see my lashes, when I wear mascara, I can see even more of them. During the week, I get tired of dealing with that. Hopefully, this new mascara will combat that.

Milk Makeup – KUSH waterproof Mascara Mini
I chose this mascara because it’s a mini, so I won’t be tied into it if I don’t like it, and because it’s waterproof. It’s called KUSH because it’s infused with CBD cannabis-oil. According to The Cut, the products contain “hemp-derived cannabis sativa seed oil, an anti-inflammatory that’s really good at conditioning and moisturizing the areas it gets applied to.” I didn’t know that when I bought it, but now I’m even more excited to try it out.

I found out about this cream eyeshadow from watching the Instagram stories of Retro Flame. The thing that drew me in was the SPF in the eyeshadow. As I get older, I realize more and more the importance of SPF. It’s in my foundation that I wear every day and now it will be in the eyeshadow I wear, too.

This shade is “first light.” I originally wanted “sunset,” but it was sold out in the store. Now I’m glad I chose the lighter color because I can also use it as a base for my other eyeshadows. I won’t have to worry about eyelid aging from the sun by wearing this. Who knew that was a thing, right?

Laura Mercier – Caviar Stick Eye Shadow
I first tried this eye shadow at my sister’s and loved it. In addition to using it as a proper eyeshadow, she uses it as an eyeliner. I loved how it looked on her. I ended up buying two of them because I couldn’t decide between colors. The ones I chose were Intense Amethyst and Burnished Bronze.

Next on the list is Buxom’s Powerplump Lip Balm in sheer pink. We stumbled across an end cap filled with different lip balms. Originally, my sister and I were going to get the YSL Volupté Plump-in-Color Plumping Lip Balm, but then we swatched this one.

Buxom – Powerplump Lip Balm
This smells like peppermint, therefore I’m in love. The cool thing about this balm is that it leaves a stain on your lips and is very moisturizing.

Speaking of moisturizing… my under eyes have been incredibly dry lately. Is it due to the changing seasons? No clue, but I need something to help them out. While I was in the store, I looked for moisturizing eye creams, but ended up finding ones that were all about depuffing and anti-aging, things I wasn’t looking for. I turned around and found one that seems great!

Dr. Roebuck’s – Down Under Collagen Boosting Eye Treatment
The reason I chose this is due to the consistency. It is thick and feels smooth once you put it on. Since my skin under my eyes is rather dry, I was expecting it to sting, like a lot of other eye creams. Luckily, it doesn’t. To me, that’s the true test of a cream.

I have talked a lot about my love of IT cosmetic’s bye bye undereye, so I feel like I’m doing some cheating here, but I’m trying a new under eye concealer. It’s by Josie Maran, “Vibrancy Argan Oil Full Coverage Concealer Fluid.”

I’m not totally sure how this is going to work out, but I felt like it was time for a change. I wanted something lighter because the IT Cosmetics one can be rather heavy. I’ll have to let you all know how I feel about it in a few weeks after I’ve used it.
Last up is this Smashbox “Photo Finish Primerizer.” According to the site, it’s “a face primer and moisturizer in one that delivers 24-hour hydration and powerful primer benefits in the lightest possible texture.” Since we’ve been talking all about dry skin, it’s only right that I would need a new moisturizer.

I’m looking forward to trying this one out. It is supposed to “increase moisture and prep skin for makeup in one step. The non-greasy, quick-dry formula sets in seconds, acting as a makeup magnet that locks on foundation and makes it last.” Just what I need.

So there you have it. Everything I got at the Sephora Insider sale. Don’t forget, it runs through May 6th. If you’re a VIB Rouge member, you get 20% off everything. If you’re a regular VIB member, you get 15% off, and regular beauty insider members get 10% off. Let me know what you guys get in the sale! Or if I’ve influenced you to try something new in the comments below.
Interesting information about the eye shadow and SPF. You learn something new all the time and good information. Than you
The SPF on the eyeshadow is what made me want to try it! How cool is that, huh?
